I recommend this article in The Telegraph:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/9509665/ Untouchable-the-true-story-that-inspired-a-box-office-hit.html
It gives a lot of the background into the story behind the film. It also explains which parts are true and which are inventions – although the real Philippe says the inventions are not untypical.
There's an interesting article on the BBC site which gives some background to the production and includes this gem: '(not) a particularly easy sell to potential investors - one of whom asked the film-makers if the main character "could walk a little at the end".':

Online:
Newspaper critics were not all raving about this film. The Telegraph man, Robbie Collin, gave it 3 stars and described it as “corny but charming”:

The Guardian (Dalya Alberge) managed only two sentences in their 4-star review which is hardly worth reading:
http://www.theguardian.com/film/2012/sep/20/untouchable-review
And the Independent (2 stars, Anthony Quinn) has it “a third-rate buddy movie that hardly understands its own condescension”:

Rotten Tomatoes is a site which gives both audience ratings (93%) and critic ratings (75%). I've found their audience ratings are often a good match with ours:

Likewise the IMDB audience rating is 8.5 out of 10:
